Find Stuff By Tag! Squirt / Ergon

Rich recently competed in the Cape to Cape event in WA. With his new Liteville Bike – “rides like a dream were his words!” and Wicked campervan ( picture below ) he set off to the beautiful Cape Leeuwin for the start of the Cape to Cape race.

After he set up the Squirt tent which was made available for the riders to lube their chains before and after the event – he was on his bike – the course took him through vineyards / singletrack / disused fire trails and plenty of hills and sand! He rode with the best like Andy Blair, Jason English and Chris Jongewaard, taking in the magic scenery WA has to offer.

Cape to Cape is a 4 day event starts at Cape Leeuwin to Margaret River averaging 40-50 km a day. It is WA’s biggest mountain biking event with a capped number of 750 competitors. Rich will be tempting his parent to come along to next years event held 18-21 OCT 2012 – as his Dad loves to ride and his Mum loves the wine!

Squirt sponsored Rohin Adams on his recent bike challenge – “The Mongolia Bike Challenge” it  had the harshest conditions that Rohin, elite rider from Melbourne has ever ridden through.

Over the 9 days and 1200kms the track changed from sandy desert tracks through the Gobi desert, mud flats across the wet plains, grassy tracks through the remote valleys and wet, rocky roads with up to 50 rivers crossings in some days.  In fact over the 9 days it is estimated that the course had in excess of 200 river crossing.

Rohin Adams chose squirt lubricant to conquer this event and was never let down.  The dry lubricant formula that Squirt offers didn’t hold any sand through the deserts and didn’t get washed off in the river crossings.  Of course over a 145kms stage the chain was sure to get some rough treatment but the beauty of the Squirt formula is easy cleaning and re-application at the end of each stage making the bike ready for the next day of extreme racing.  At the event Squirt was a popular choice and riders who had other lubricants soon came asking if they could use some of Rohins.  Squirt was indeed keeping the Mongolia Bike Challenge lubricated.
